Hi every one this is another post of mine & this post is all about uTorrent.Now we all are familiar with this software it's a free program from p2p. uTorrent is a fine looking & light program but it ain't problem free, i would like to mention a common problem of uTorrent & which would be the download speed is very slow now this is because of your router or your net connection is not much good or you don't have the right settings. & those who have Dial-up connection i know dudes your speeds you guys get speed like 2.0KB/s or 10.0KB/s now today I'm going to show you guys how to boost up your UT=(uTorrent) speed for that you need some software:
- 1. uTorrent

why do we need This software?
This software fights back against the anti-P2P organizations out there, the IPfilter is for you.I would recommend running the updater about twice a month, in order to keep the blacklisted IP addresses up to date You'll know you've done it right if when you start up uTorrent, under the "Logger" tab it says "loaded ipfilter.dat (xxxxxx entries)". Now your download speeds will increase by about 20%, because you will no longer be experiencing any hash-fails from bogus IP addresses.

- 3. Half-open limit fix 4.1 (if your using windows 7 you don't need this software This software is for Xp & vista)
why do we need this software?
we need this software cause Microsoft first introduced this limit in Windows XP SP2 and it is present in later versions, which purpose is to try to slow the spread of virus and malware from system to system, and also to reduce the impact of infected systems participating in DoS (Denial of Service) attacks.Microsoft's limiter makes it impossible for Windows systems to have more than 10 concurrent half-open outbound connections; after 10, new connection attempts are put in a queue and forced to wait. Thus, the speed of connection to other PCs are limited.Therefore, the speed of connection to other computers is actually limited. P2P (peer-to-peer) programs like µTorrent, BitComet, eMule, P2P TV, etc, are generally the programs mostly affected. Since bitTorrent apps tend to use up all 10 of the half-open connections, other Internet activity—especially the loading of web pages—can become extremely slow. The delay before opening a new page can take over ten seconds: this delay occurs regardless of your Internet connection speed&Half-open limit fix is a program designed to change the maximum number of concurrent half-open outbound TCP connections (connection attempts) in the Windows system tcpip.sys file.

why do we need this software?
We need this software cause the program can aid both the novice and the advanced user in tweaking related TCP/IP parameters in the Windows Registry, making it easy to tune your system to the type of Internet connection used. The program works with all current versions of Windows, and includes additional tools, such as testing average latency over multiple hosts, and finding the largest possible packet size (MTU).
The TCP Optimizer is targeted towards broadband internet connections, however it can be helpful with tuning any internet connection type, from dialup to Gigabit+ :) &U-Torrent's speed won't increase on a slow net connection, remember- the more you upload to people the more you will get download speed.

- 5. Your router address(default gateway)
well you need to allow your port form your router that means port-forward from your router (IF U DON'T PORT FORWARD YOUR DOWNLOAD SPEED WILL BE SLOW VERY SLOW)

Now lets move to the tweaks. I will be showing you some methods, there will be 5 or 6 methods follow any of the method which is suitable for you & your uTorrent speed will increase....
- Method 1
- Now open your uTorrent up & go right ahead to preference>bandwidth
& under Global Upload limiting you will see
Maximum Upload Rate(kB/s): [0: unlimited] &you will see a box like this
>[___44___]< in this box put your maximum number of upload speed like my total upload speed is 44kilobytes.
- Under Number of connection
Global maximum number of connection [ 2329 ] or [ 500]
Maximum number of connected peers per torrent [ 1890 ]
Number of upload slots per torrent [ 14 ] (if you have a slow net please change your value to 4.
Tick additional upload slots if upload speed < 90%
Under Global download rate limiting:
Maximum DOwnload Rate (KB/s):
[0:unlimited] [1790 or 1695 ,1890]
- Go To Connection
listening Port Number:
port used For income connections: [ 45682 ] Random Port
& enable UPnp Mapping &also tick Enable NAT-PMP Port mapping
& Add windows firewall exception
- Now Go To Bit Torrent:
Tick all except limit local peer bandwidth
- Now To Transfer Cap:
well i don't know about this it's a new option in uTorrent just enable it & leave it as it is oh yeah make sure you do it like this
Cap settings------------
Stop torrents when : upload+download
reach 9000 GB in the last 31 days
- Queuing ----------
Maximum Number of active Torrents (Upload & Download ): [ 35] (If you have a slow net connection please change the value to less , like 10 or 5)
Maximum Number Of Active Downloads : [35] (If you have a slow net connection please change the value to less, like 10 or 5)
Seed while [defaults values]
Ratio is:<= [150] % or seeding time is: <= (min) [ 0 ]
- DNA
Now you may wonder what is DNA? well DNA delivers you the peer that only you require. So it helps you To Get Good Speed
[Tick] Enable DNA power-downloads
[Leave it as it is un-tick] Limit DNA uploads To [100] GB/months
[Tick ] Alert Me when DNA powered downloads are added to uTorrent
[doesn't matter if you tick it or untick] Disable screen saver while streaming content with DNA. [doesn't matter if you tick it or untick] Show DNA systray icon

- METHOD 2
For method 2 you Need TCPOptimizer ,Half-open limit fix 4.1
(TCPOptimizer & Half-open limit fix 4.1 are only for XP & vista do not use it if you have windows 7)
Now download & open both of the software------
Half-open limit fix 4.1: Now you will see you current limit is 10 or what ever it is just keep it under your current limit you will see new limit & value- 100 will be already set if not then please type 100 & click on tcpip.sys & close it
TCPOptimizer : Now open up TCPOptimizer --------
Under connection Speed :-----(Kbps)
Drag it to 20000 or if you have a slow internet connection drag it to less, like 15000 or 800
Network Adapter selection
you will see your adapter & it should already be selected so don't change it (change it if only your network adapter is not selected)
& Click on don't modify Network adapter card.After doing that look at the bottom you will see Current settings Optimal settings & Custom settings,click on optimal settings & hit the apply &
Now there is one more step left & which is the final step---------
- Open Your uTorrent up> Option > Preference > Connection-----

For This Method You will Need IPFilter which I already mentioned above the location where you can get the ipfilter so download it & place the ipfilter.dat to it's location>>>>>>> click on start menu & click on run or you can click Win key+R it will bring up run after that type %appdata%\Utorrent it will open up a new window, now paste the ipfilter.dat into the new window. After doing that open your uTorrent up & click on the logger & you will see something like this- 'loaded ipfilter.dat (XXXX entries)'

If you are downloading a movie or a video & it's 50% complete & and you wanna watch it to know how the quality is or how is the video well now you can with the new uTorrent 2.1 Alpha & and it's streaming Option. Just click on the Torrent that you wanna watch the video of & click on the files & under file you can see your video so right click on your video & click on Force streaming

- Before Downloading A Torrent
Before you download & Go to this site http://www.torrentz.com/ & search for your torrent scroll down a bit, under User Feedback you will see Torrent Trackers see all the trackers & open a notepad & copy some trackers- only those which higher number of seeds & paste in a notepad, but remove the dates after copying. For example when you copy the trackers and paste it in a notepad it may look like this

- When you start your Download
When you download a torrent make sure you add the trackers from www.torrentz.com site which I mentioned above. Now you may wonder which trackers to add, well don't add all the trackers, just the trackers with higher number of seeds & then open your up uTorrent Right click on the which you wanna add your trackers to. Then click on properties> & under (separate tires with an empty line ) you can see some trackers are already given. Yes those are the default trackers from where you getting speed so don't delete them just scroll down to the end & paste your trackers & also separate tires with an empty line.
Done with Method 3 Hope it helps.
I would like to request everyone who downloads torrent it seems that most of the don't seed after their download is finished well guys that's just diabolical please don't do that, remember this seeding makes a Torrent alive so for the love of sake please seed as long as you can.

There are many ways you can make your uTorrent faster. Some can be done by Tweaks & some can be done by using Softwares & this method is all gonna be about the making uTorrent faster using different Softwares.
